Tennis School Programs

Tennis is a fun, social, healthy sport and whether you’re a junior or senior, looking at getting on the professional circuit, playing local competitions and tournaments or returning back to the game after some time away, ITP runs programs to help you get started and to enhance your development as well as tournaments and competitions to suit your needs.

 

Mini Tennis Hot Shots:

ITP Mini Tennis Hot Shots is the fun way for kids to learn how to play tennis. Smaller courts, nets, racquets and low-compression balls make learning easy and give younger players the chance to serve, rally and score right from the first time they play.

 

Children progress through the three developmental stages:

  • Red

  • Orange

  • Green

At each stage, the ball compression and court size increases in line with players’ development. This gradual progression improves players’ skills and prepares them to play on a full-size court with a yellow ball.
 

In the Mini Tennis Hot Shots program, children will:

  • play with modified equipment that is appropriate to their age, size and ability

  • meet new friends, have fun and stay healthy

  • develop new skills and coordination

  • have the opportunity to play in challenge events where all players receive a  participation gift

  • graduate to playing on a full-size court through the ‘learning to play’ pathway

    From the first moment players participate in the ITP Mini Tennis Hot Shots program, they will ‘play the game’ of tennis. This means players are able to serve, rally and score in an exciting ITF endorsed competition format.

 

ITP Seniors’ Social Program

ITP Seniors’ Social Program provides the opportunity to play tennis on a social basis. Participants can play as much tennis as they wish, with the emphasis on playing fun, social tennis in a relaxed setting without the pressure of competition.
 

The program is open to players of all standards, from beginners to advance and also for those who have previously played tennis and wish to get back into the sport.

  • Meet and socialize with others in your community

  • All tennis racquets and balls supplied

  • Enjoy a cup of tea/coffee after the tennis

  • Run at metropolitan and regional clubs/centers

 

Mamas' Serve:

Mamas' Serve Program is run by ITP'S qualified coaches, which means that you will be in good hands to develop your tennis skills. Open to beginners and those who would like to resume playing tennis, the Mamas’ Serve Program allows you to take some times out for yourself and get fit and active whilst socializing with other mums in your area.

Get a taste of Cardio Tennis and get involved with your local tennis club.

 

Cardio Tennis:
Cardio Tennis is a fun, social, group tennis-fitness program for people of all ages and abilities. It’s more about getting a great, high-energy workout than pure tennis technique. An average a Cardio Tennis workout runs for 45 to 60 minutes and is comprised of:

  • 5-10 minute warm-up

  • 30-50 minute cardio tennis segment with drill-based and play-based activities

  • 5-10 minute cool down

    Participants exercise to music, use low-compression balls and a variety of equipment, including agility ladders.

    Cardio Tennis is focused around a high-intensity workout, rather than playing tennis, so it is perfect for players of all abilities.
